Livescience.com just published a (very) short video of a marine biologist seemingly being rescued from a tiger shark. Scientists warn that although it’s altruistic behavior, we need to not jump to conclusions. It might have something to do with their impulse to protect their own young and thus, might be unintentional.
Either way, it’s amazing to watch!
We are members of the animal kingdom, not the wisest or most adapted. Whales and dolphins have no natural enemies except us. That big flat tail and speed make sharks think twice. Like bears. Nothing in nature argues with a bear. Dogs step up up, horses, whales. We could learn a valuable lesson about true forgiveness from creatures who help defend those who would destroy them. Go, whales!
