Can Work Be Joyful?

“I don’t know what I’m passionate about! How do I find my passion?”

How about starting with a list of things you would do for free? Make a list. Don’t censor yourself.

You can also try to remember what you enjoyed doing when you were eight years old. Add those activities. Nothing is too silly.

I’d love to hear what you come up with. How can you incorporate this into your work?

  1. Try not to make excuses for not doing what you’d rather be doing. I fell in love with synthesizers in 1973. I couldn’t imagine doing anything but messing with them, being around them, listening to them. So I did. And I got paid for it long enough to put my daughter through college. Go figure. “Life” and “Career” don’t necessarily have to be antonyms. Figure out what you love, first,
