Dogs, dolphins, bears – any number of beings that have adapted to the planet better than we have and just “are.” When i was young a man said to me “No, we’re not the smartest creatures on the planet. I put us somewhere in the middle.” He went on to explain that as simple as they appeared to be, Dolphins had high level communication and the flat tail sent sharks the other way. Not such a bad deal. There they are, there’s the food, in sync. The oppsoed thumb has nothing on that.
