My 5th graders found a Black Widow spider in the back yard of the school. It was the first time I saw one in person! Beautiful.
Didn’t get to a museum per instructions, but I found this on the deYoung Museum website.
“Are you feeling Ok?” asked Mr. Dennis.
“No, not really,” Kevin replied weakly.
“You didn’t do well on the test, Kevin. That’s not like you.”
“I know and I feel terrible. I didn’t study. I really messed up.”
Edgy from lack of sleep, low in energy from poor diet, and frustrated with himself, Kevin sulked.
This wasn’t what Kevin expected at all. He thought they’d be as excited as him. A cloud of doubt began to form in his head and in his heart.
He tried to push it away.
“I don’t have to be the expert on any of those topics. I just need to make it entertaining to watch.” He thought of Nastya and how he didn’t find it particularly captivating, but…190 subscribers sure did!
“Meh, no thanks,” Carlos said.
“Yeah, I don’t want to be on YouTube,” Minji concurred.
Kevin was bewildered.
Kevin watched more videos featured on “Top YouTube Videos” of the week.
There were video game reviewers…
Truth or Dare players…
And World Wrestling Entertainers
Jimi was from Seattle. I didn’t know that.
“Ahem. I know you two are working hard on fractions!” Mr. Dennis, their math teacher, said, disapprovingly.
