I am practicing something I’d like to share with you. It’s been so effective for me!
Eckhart Tolle advises that you do this in order to stop letting things and people bother you.
When faced with a comment, a gesture, or an event that upsets you, imagine yourself transparent and imagine this offending element going through you. It just goes through you. You don’t resist it, you don’t react, just let it go through you.
Let me know if this works for you.
Nice way to handle people who keeps bothering you…

Lenny Bruce believed, and often expounded, that words and deeds delivered our way are only as powerful as the weight we give them.

Tried this today. It worked. Let’s hope we can maintain this attitude with those daily negative throws of life 😎🤘

I believe it’s something that needs to become a habit. It’s hard to break habits and acquire new ones…but this one is so powerful, isn’t it? 🙂

yeah it’s effective. We’re sure it’s going to keep pessimism at bay.

How timely! I just read something from the President of the San Francisco Log Cabin Republicans (the LGBT group of the Republican party if you can believe that). I know the guy from my synagogue. I thought he was a nice, intelligent guy. Anyway, I’m going to try to let his comments simply go right through me so his political thinking doesn’t affect the way I think about him.

Howard! So happy this resonates with you. And I’m sorry you have to deal with people like that. It’s an especially trying time with the easy access to words (media) and idiocy/ignorance/bigotry. But we shall overcome! I see this as a mere bump in the road to progress. We love you!
