Sammy the Sea Turtle makes an unannounced visit to Chloe. Her fins were mottled and her eyes were bloodshot.

She stood there and stared at the boxes. How could she be so excited to buy them and now feel so ambivalent? Her heart fluttered. She had no more credit for purchases. And her clutter was leading to less and less room in her home.
To get her mind off of her problems, she decided to watch some TV and have a snack.

Chloe did not think so: work, dating, money…it was all too much. She clicked the “add to cart” button but decided to hold off on purchasing the purse. She had 8 other items in the cart and made a mental note to revisit the website at home that night. She felt very excited and powerful which was a lot better than feeling anxious.

“I don’t know. Why mess with perfection?” Chloe did not like change. It caused her to worry. It caused her great stress.

“One Friday night, Chloe was at Liz’s house hanging out. They were talking about work.”

I’ve chosen the font and set the text for my third book. It just needs some tweaking here and there, but I’m almost ready to do the illustrations! The goal with this one is experimental: write about “adult” issues in a children’s book style.

I just purchased this beautiful Japanese watercolor set. I’m going to start painting the pictures for “When Chloe Clingfish Collected Clutter.” Originally, I was sure I would use iridescent ink. But now, I’m not so certain. What a wonderful dilemma!
