Reflection Time

I had my 5th graders reflect upon their work and productivity now that the first semester is closing.

Here is one response I think we can all relate to on some level (replace fortnite with Facebook, Twitter, Netflix, etc).:

The Antidote

She told me she wakes up anxious. I recommended writing five things she is grateful for first thing in the morning – every morning – before she does anything. Just two weeks in, she said she feels happier each day.

Gratitude can replace worry.
